| Network marketing (NM) is legitimate business. In short it simply is a
paradigm shift in the distribution processing of goods and services.
Traditional distribution is usually involves a lengthy process of
middle men (wholesalers, jobbers, distributors and retailers) are hired
to eventually deliver the product to the end customer. First, it's based on providing people with real, legitimate products they need and want at a fair price. While some people do make a lot of money through network marketing, their financial benefit is always the result of their own dedicated efforts in building an organization that sells real products and services. Pyramids are illegal and are based on taking advantage of people. For a person to actually make money in a pyramid scheme, someone else has to lose money. However in network marketing, each person can multiply his or her efforts, skills, and talents by helping others be successful. NM has proved itself as a part of the new economy and a preferred way to do business here and around the world. REALIZE THIS: *Network Marketing isn't about taking advantage of friends and relatives. This industry is based on organized method. You work a few dedicated hours each week, with each hour of effort serving as a building block for their long-term business growth. You sponsor other people and teach those people how to sell the company products and sponsor others who duplicate the process. Network Marketing inherently has many attributes are not available in other industries. These attributes such as residual income, leverage and time compounding have been features that continue to attract individuals from all walks of life. Why don't the old methods work like they used to? Now anyone that tells you that they do no selling is lying through their teeth. Why do you think it's called direct selling/network marketing? Sorry to burst your bubble, but if you hate selling, you totally abhor it; then keep your day job. OK, in all fairness, sales has gotten a bad rap, especially network marketing. This is precisely because it has been done wrong. Ok, wrong might be a strong word for me to use, and you can argue that it works for some people, but if you really dig into what the successful distributors are doing, it encompasses way more than they let on to. If you had any other business would you try and sell your product to someone who expressed no interest in it what so ever? What it they told you they weren't interested, would you still try and change their mind? This is absolute lunacy. The point I am trying to make here is the typical methods taught by most network companies and distributors are total insanity. No other industry does business like this. For instance if you opened up a business, would you make a list of your friends and family to come work for you or better yet open up another branch up for you. I don't think so, unless they had the expertise, know-how or at the minimum the aptitude for success. Here's one of the biggest lies they tell you, to talk to everyone because you never know who will be interested. So I am still trying to figure out why my up-line insight I go to Walmart and Target to find prospects. I am actually going somewhere with this. Why not market your business like you would any other business venture. Place yourself and your company in a position to be found by those looking for you. If you started a conventional business, I am pretty sure you would tell your friends and family members first, and seek their support; but you wouldn't insist that they come join your business, would you? How about getting referrals from them or just some good old word of mouth? Wouldn't you prefer they inquire about your business and let them express an interest in finding out more about it? Do you see where I am going with this? Your positioning is now from a position of power instead of weakness. Your prospect has actually expressed an interest in what you have. All you did was let your audience know what you had available. That's a bit different than soliciting them to join your business. Now don't get me wrong, if you enjoy harassing friends and family to join your company, by all means keep doing so. If what you are doing is working for you, please, don't stop. If it's not broke don't fix it. I love that cliché because it works. However if you are at your wit's end because your organization is not growing, maybe you should look at alternative measures. I call them guerrilla or renegade techniques. Here comes the major problem with Network Marketing; differentiating between the real deals and the shysters. Trust me; there is no shortage of scam artists eagerly waiting to part you from your hard earned money. The best way to avoid falling for these scam artists is be educated about the best and most legitimate companies and the qualifications and features they must have. You must perform your due diligence before committing to any business venture. Before you join any opportunity there are some litmus tests you can use to tell whether you should join or run.
